Past Presidents

The past presidents of the Kentucky Press Association met Jan. 23 in Louisville. The purpose of our yearly gathering is to choose which newspapers receive interns for the upcoming summer.

Meeting  were front row, David Hawpe, Celia McDonald, Kriss Johnson and Tom Caudill. Back row, Teresa Revlett, Dave Eldridge, Max Heath and John Nelson.

To be eligible for a summer intern, newspapers applying must participate in the statewide classified program. To learn more about statewide classifieds, call Stephanie Conrad at 502-223-8821 or 1-800-264-5721.

Let’s start 2009 off right!

We are trying our best to finalize new rates for all of our member newspapers. Unfortunately, the start of the new year falls right after a couple of holidays when people are enjoying a much needed, year end rest. Sometimes we fall through the cracks at year’s end!

With that in mind, if you have not done so yet, please send us your complete rate card or media kit for 2009. Each year in October, we request that our members fill out a new rate and data sheet. Along with that, we like to receive your media kit. Sometimes our advertisers ask for information that is not available on on the rate and data sheet.

We need your complete rate card and a calendar of any special sections available so that we can offer all of your services to our clients. Please mail any rate cards to KPS Advertising, 101 Consumer Lane, Frankfort, KY 40601.

Happy New Year!
