Weeks of sometimes acrimonious debate among members of the Bath County Board of Education have spilled over into a board investigation of the county’s weekly newspaper.

The Courier-Journal filed a lawsuit Monday against Louisville metro government over an anti-litter ordinance that the newspaper says violates constitutional protections of free speech and the press.
To be able to serve Kentucky newspapers and KPA/Kentucky Press Service clients, the KPA Central Office will be open both Friday, July 3, and Monday, July 6. The office will be operating both days with a skeleton staff but since many newspapers will not close for the July Fourth holiday, the KPA/KPS staff decided to split the work schedule for the Central Office to keep it open both days.
